Ruth Wardein
Miss Ruth grew up in Naples. She
received her ballet training at Progressive Arts Ballet (now Etudes de Ballet
& Co.). Deciding on a teaching
career rather than a performing one, Miss Ruth has been teaching at Etudes
since 1998. Miss Ruth works with pre-ballet, beginning and intermediate
students. She regularly attends seminars and workshops to stay current
on the changing styles of dance. Miss
Ruth has been married for 5 very happy years to Nicholas Wardein and is so
pleased to see that their 3 year old daughter, Liora, loves to dance! Ruth recently gave birth to a boy, Xavier
Francis, and has taken leave for the fall term. Ruth hopes to teach again in January.
Danielle Chaprnka
Miss Danielle
grew up in Michigan
where she studied, and later instructed, classical ballet at the Flint School
of Performing Arts. She received a BA
in Elementary Education and presently teaches kindergarten full-time at Manatee Elementary School
in Naples. In addition to teaching, Miss Danielle is
working towards a PHD in
Education at the University of Florida. Miss Danielle teaches the Pre-ballet
classes for ages 3 - 6 and Level I ballet on Tuesday afternoons.
Donna K. Frogge
Donna Frogge received her
B.F.A. degree in dance from William Woods University
and her M.F.A. degree in dance from the University
of Colorado in Boulder. She has been on the dance
faculties of Colorado State University, Missouri State University, and Cottey
College, and she is currently
serving as an adjunct instructor of dance at Florida Gulf
Coast University.
Her choreography has been commissioned by dance companies throughout Colorado and Missouri,
and she served for over 8 years as Artistic Co-Director of City in Motion
Dance Theatre, a professional modern dance company based in Kansas City, Missouri.
Donna relocated to Naples
in 2007 with her husband, Bruce, and son, Zach. Donna teaches
modern dance for Etudes, as well as choreographs for Etudes competitive dance
team.
Kristina Adamski
Kristina grew up in Naples, training at
Etudes de Ballet and several other dance schools. She excelled with dance in high school and
was the captain of her dance team for two years. Kristina is now in the process of
completing her degree in Elementary Education at Florida Gulf
Coast University. Kristina is married to Corey Adamski and
has a 1 year old, Gracie, who already loves to dance. Kristina is happy to share her love of
dance with her students at Etudes de Ballet.
She teaches all levels of tap, pee wee jazz and pee wee hip hop.
Helen Sedmak ARAD
Helen grew up in England
where she trained in the RAD system from the age of 5. She successfully
passed Primary, Grades 1, 2, 3 and 4, Senior Grade, Pre Elementary,
Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced examinations. At the age of 16 Helen
joined Northern Ballet School (NBS) where she trained under RAD examiner
Patricia McDonald. While there she attained her ISTD ( Imperial Society of
Teachers of Dance ) teaching certificate in ballet after passing levels
Elementary - Advanced. Helen was on the classical course and danced in
productions of Giselle, La Bayadere and The Nutcracker. While at NBS she also
trained in Jazz, Tap, Modern, Contemporary and National Dance. Helen danced with the Manchester City
Ballet at the opening of the Dancehouse Theatre in the presence of HRH
Princess Margaret and also at Manchester
Airport for Air 2000 in
the presence of HRH Prince Philip. After graduating from NBS she went
on to dance all around the world on cruise ships in Vegas style
shows, where she met her husband Randy. Since getting married Helen has
been teaching all styles of dance to children and adults at all levels. She
now resides in Estero with her husband, 4 year old son Jack and 1 year old
twins Max and Liam. Helen is pleased to join Etudes
Macy Magdaleno
Macy began dancing at the age of seven at
The Dance Studio in Longview, Texas, where she studied under Tena Scalco Vogel,
former dancer at the School
of American Ballet and
a member of the Fort Worth Ballet Company. Macy also studied under Pat George
Mitchell (Longview Ballet Theater) and numerous jazz and tap instructors,
where she trained in the areas of ballet, lyrical, point, jazz, hip hop, tap
and contemporary. Macy was a member of the dance team, Fusion, from
2004-2006, which competed and received many awards for their hip hop and
contemporary routines. Macy has attended numerous conventions including; LA
Dancemagic, LA Dancefore, Tremaine and JUMP, receiving a scholarship to their
summer convention. She has attended summer workshops taught by Amanda
Edge (New York City Ballet) and contestants from the popular show, So
You Think You Can Dance. Macy began student teaching in 2005 and began instructing
her own classes in 2007.
